Saddle Bag in a Day Workshop
Come along and make a contemporary leather saddle bag in a day! This bag is made from vegetable tanned leather on an industrial sewing machine.
On the course you will learn about different types of leather and how to select the right type for your bag. You will work from a fixed sized and shaped template for your medium sized saddle bag plus you will get to choose your leather and thread colour as well as learning how to make and attach an adjustable shoulder strap. Please note, due to the shape of the bag and thickness of the leather, it would be preferable if you have some experience with cutting leather or craft in general, but not essential. All sewing is done on one of my 3 INDUSTRIAL SEWING MACHINES which you will get to practice on first.
If time allows, you may also emboss your initials onto the bag for that personal touch! Please contact me when booking to discuss your requirements. Tea and coffee will be provided throughout the day, just bring a packed lunch.

Having attended one of Rosanna’s courses already, I was keen to stretch my skills by making a bag! This was the perfect course as it gave me the chance to make a different item using cutting skills gained from the full day workshop. Rosanna took me through the stages one step at a time and offered assistance when it was needed. The colour options were so great, I couldn’t decide! But I eventually settled on bright and bold and I’m so glad I did as I now have a one of a kind bag I made myself and I’m so proud when I get compliments and can say ‘I made it myself’!
