For anyone considering taking the 2 day bag making course I would definitely recommend it! I enjoy learning new skills whenever possible, I have been on many courses for a variety of experiences, but this course has made my top 3 due to being such a personalised experience. From the start, the syllabus was not only about how to construct a bag, but focused on how to bring to life something from my imagination, with the strategical knowledge and enlightenment of a professional who could think around potential pitfalls and be creatively involved with me. I think this approach is extremely successful as by joining in & discussing all options with Rosanna, I was able to better understand the mechanics of making a bag. Not only do I feel confident enough to practice a project by myself, I feel confident to make other items that we didn't create, purely because I was taught me more than just a baseline template, Rosanna taught me the intelligence behind the shapes and the development sequence.

I contacted Rosanna about helping me construct a pattern and teach me the skills needed to sew a heavy duty canvas and leather tote bag. Having never used a sewing machine before I was a bit apprehensive of whether or not I'd be able to produce a good product, Rosanna was such a good teacher, I never felt out of my depth. Everything was explained very well, and when the bag started coming together I was so happy with how it turned out! I have come away from the course with much more confidence about making these bags in the future. After we finished the bag we had some time remaining so Rosanna helped me hand tool a leather notebook holder and knife sheath. Hand tooling leather wasn't something I was originally interested in but after learning the skills I now have some products I can make using scraps of leather I have left over! I am so chuffed to bits with what I've gained from the course and it was certainly worth every penny!

I had a fabulous day making the leather laptop case with Rosanna in her workshop. Beautiful surroundings for a great and informative day. Rosanna is a great teacher; very patient and a very talented maker. I learnt a number of essential leather stitching techniques as well as many finishing techniques such as embossing and edging to make my final piece look stunning. I love my laptop case and I cannot wait to try out my newly learnt skills again. A highly recommended and fun day!
